The versatility of baked eggs

April 23, 2019

Baked eggs was one of our first dishes on our menu when we opened just over a year ago,” says Stacey Krbaleski, Director of Heart of Hall in Newport in Melbourne’s inner-west. “It was really popular, it’s such a hearty dish and makes such a hero of the egg.”

Stacey says that the beauty of a baked egg lies in its versatility, “it’s easily a quick dish for one or you can make Baked Eggs a family dinner, and add a variety of ingredients.”

She adds that “It’s really up to you in what you add to the eggs. Create six wells in a casserole dish and make a bacon and spinach pie, you could also do baked eggs with bolognese sauce or add chives, creme fraiche and guacamole. It’s a great way to use up leftovers.”
