Handled with care

Our hens produce approximately 17,000 dozen eggs a week. All our eggs are collected the day they are laid, and are handled with the utmost care. From our egg collection rooms, they go straight into a cool room, to await grading. Green Eggs only ever sells A grade eggs, ensuring the utmost quality and freshness. Green Eggs are delivered directly from our farm to you, providing unbeatable freshness; continuity of supply, less damage to eggs and direct contact with us, the producer.

  • One

    The eggs are continually collected through out the day. A large conveyor belt moves down the shed which allows us to the collect the eggs in a non-invasive manner that ensures the hens can lay without being disturbed.

  • Two

    The eggs are arranged and stored in the cool room. They are stacked by date, ready to be graded and packaged.

  • Three

    Eggs are checked and arranged on our grading machine, ready to be graded.

  • Four

    The egg cartons are arranged by the weight detailed on the carton.

  • Five

    The eggs are organised by weight, and placed into the cartons. This ensures the customer received a consistently sized eggs.

  • Six

    Each carton is dated and receives its final inspection before being boxed up ready for delivery.

  • Seven

    The retail boxes are delivered throughout the region to our wonderful customers.
